IBK to foster innovative companies in the second half of IBK's second half

IBK Industrial Bank of Korea announced on the 10th that it will finally select 85 IBK Changgong innovative start-ups in the second half of this year and start supporting start-up promotion programs for five months from July to November.
The 85 selected companies were ▲ health and diagnosis (22.1%), ▲ knowledge service (22.1%), and ▲ information and communication (20.7%). Companies that combine technology and innovation, such as companies that develop AR (augmented reality)-based surgical navigation systems, were also included.
Experts will start close mentoring and consulting services suitable for each company's situation after diagnosing and evaluating IBK's final selection companies in advance.
In addition, IBK Financial Group will provide financial support for investment and financing, link venture capital (VC) investment, support collaboration and market development through open innovation of large and medium-sized companies, industry, academia, and research technology matching programs, and global expansion programs.
An official from the Industrial Bank of Korea said, "For starting companies, IBK's creation will serve as a stepping stone for a new leap forward," adding, "We will provide systematic support for each stage of growth of starting companies through synergy with IBK Financial Group."
